1995 Chevy S-10 lght turn on car dont start

All interior light go on when I turn key. Headlights work wipers work. Engine wont turn over. Tried jumping it but still would not turn over/ what could it be

When you turn the key to start do you hear a clicking sound at the starter? Start with checking the wires at the battery. Make sure they are clean and tight.

Livona, you sent a reply with no answer. If you hear a clicking sound at the starter then the I would have the starter checked.
