1994 Chevy S-10 Oil preasure.

After engine warms up and you come to idle the oil pressure guage drops to zero, it comes back up when you accelerate, there is no engine noise, is this a engine problem or the guage?

Do an oil pressure check with a mechanical gauge - if normal replace the oil pressure sending unit-If not could be the oil pump or engine bearings-

Hi there,

Have the engine oil pressure tested with a master gauge, this will give a true indication as to engine oil pressure. Hopefully you just have a faulty sender unit. Do the test first.
