1994 Chevy S-10 V6 Four Wheel Drive Manual 150, 00 miles

the truck has a small jerky motion when driving normally, but under load (up hill) expecially in 5th gear, it cuts out for a second like the fuel is stopped to the jets in the throttle body (like a hic-op), and it doesn't have the power it should have with this 4.3 engine due to the jerky feeling. It also happens when taking off in a lower gear, but not quite as bad but that is probably from not being so dramatic as higher speeds.

Dos it bog down like it is running out of gas? Or does it cut out like a switch is being flipped? Probably ignition related since it does it under load. When was the last tune up? Did you use quality parts?

No it acts like a switch is flipped for 1 sec, and then it runs normalls, but with the small jerky feeling, like one can tell its not getting the fuel to run at peak effeciency. Also when taking off from a stop, the gas has to be feathered just right, or it jerks, like "Kachunk" and runs like normal. Every thing seems fine just driving with a lack of fuel. Things get worse when its warm. The tune-up is fine, and I only use quality parts from napa.

Fuel usually is like a bog, whereas electrical is more like a switch (fast). Is or has the check engine light been on? As long as you didnt use Bosch Platinum plugs or Champions. If you can get a manual fuel pressure gauge it would help pin-point the problem. Might even be the module or pick-up coil in the distributor shorting when they get hot
