I have a 1995 suburban k2500 5.7l with 125000 miles

when it is cold it starts hard and misses for about a minute then idles fine. While driving, when I get up to speed and am giving it light throttle is misses pretty bad. If I let off the throttle, or give it more throttle is goes away. There doesnt appear to be loss of power at full throttle. I replaced the fuel pump about 1500 miles ago and I just replaced the fuel filter again. Please help

Hey caleb,
Sounds like you may have a bad plug wire or plug. When was the last tune up? Let me know!

I changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor about 2000 miles ago. I also changed the MAP sensor.
Thanks for the quick reply

Hey,
I would carefully inspect those ign wires for chafing or failure, especially @ the plugs. You can also get a spray bottle w/ water and kind of hose down the cap and all the wires, look for arcing or a stumble in the engine. Was the map sensor changed because the old one failed or did you do that as a maint. Item? Also check all the vacuum hoses and lines for cracks or breaks, a vacuum leak will also cause a skip (lean misfire) Another possibility the O2 sensor has failed or close to failure. But you would need a scanner do diagnose that one properly! Let me know!
