2001 Other Chevrolet Models Engine Size unknown Front Wheel Drive Automatic 76000 miles

I have a 2001 Chevy Prizm. My fan will only turn on when I put it on HI. On the other 3-4 lower settings nothing happens. Any suggestions?

YOUR HEATER USES A RESISTOR TO BRING VOLTAGE DOWN ON SPEEDS 1, 2 AND 3. IT USES FULL POWER ON HIGH SPEED, BYPASSING THE RESISTOR. QUITE SIMPLY YOU HAVE A BAD BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR. VERY INEXPENSIVE FIX IF YOU KNOW WHATS WRONG, AND NOW YOU DO. I HOPE THIS HELPS.
