My dash panel lights stopped working and on my steering wheel and doors too what could it be

Welcome to the forum. Did you check all applicable fuses? Use a testlite on the fuse circuits to see if they are hot, when they should be. Do you have a dimmer control on the headlamp switch? Try working that for the instrument cluster illumination. Your owners manual show have fuse application and location. If you can't find anything, holler, I'll find something.

Because the bcm possibly could be involved, you need to have all trouble codes checked. Manufacturer specific as well as generic codes.
