When I start my engine, I have no power steering. I have to restart it one or more times to get power steering. It happens not very often, but it does happen from time to time.

Last December when I was driving on a interstate freeway, all of sudden, I lost power steering! It was very scary. This happened once.

I am wondering what should I do about it? Is it a very serious problem? Usually how much will it cost to repair it? Thank you very much for your help.

It's a serious problem as far as you loosing control on the highway. But it won't stop your engine from running.

Depending on whether or not you want to fix it your self, I'll look up the procedure for testing your system.

If you don't want to tackle something like that, you'll definitely have to take it to a shop.

And what's wrong with it will depend on how much it'll cost. Any reputable shop should give you a free estimate. Call around until you find one.

If I've helped you, please vote for me, as I use this to pay my bills. Thanx, Ernest.
