2005 Chevy Malibu brake light malfunction

My brake lights come on when I release the brake and only go off when I apply the brake. A repair shop replaced the brake switch which did not correct the problem. After a month it corrected itself. It is now happening again and is very dangerous.
Can anyone suggest another repair?

I'm having the same problem too. I think I may have found something, but its too soon to say. I'm still testing my car out to see if it fixed it.

Since you have already replaced the switch, it sounds like it is your Body Control Module that is failing intermittently and should be replaced.
