I have noticed a large puddle underneath the car in the driveway. I looked and it seems to be coming out of the pan gasket. Is this a coomon problem? How hard is it to change this gasket? How much fluid needs to replaced after changing? Is there anything else I need to consider while changing the seal besides a new filter? I really do not know much history about the car because I just bought it about 5 months ago.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi there, replacing the pan gasket is a straight forward job, the filter & its seal is a bit tricky, as the seal will often stay in the housing and it must be removed carefully and a new seal knocked into place, You will need approx 6.5 l of Dextron VI transmission oil to re fill the transmission, if you feel unsure about doing this job get a mechanic to do it for you.
