2001 Chevy Malibu My car wont start and wont go over 30 mph

I was driving the car and it would not let me drive any faster than 30 mph then when I reved it a couple times the mph didnt move at all then when I got to the bottom of my driveway (uphill) it couldnt make it and it died at the bottom I dont know what to do.

Is it setting a check engine light, could be a possible cat converter.

The check engine light is on yes and also the battery light is on when I have the car on but not starting and it does turn over but not start also my engine oil light is dead should I replace that when I turn car on to see all lights it does not show up anymore

I would take it somewhere and have the vehicle scanned to find out what the trouble codes are. It could also be a MAF sensor. You can try to disconnect that and see if you have power. It is located by the air cleaner box
