how do I change the ignition lock cylinder in my car? SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING about reseting something after you do it I need to know how to do that too!

And this will also reset whatever it is that has to be reset when you hook it back up?

When I called napa about the part they said you had to take it to a shop to fix it cause something had to be reset cause of the anti theft in it

Okay, yes if you have anti theft system then the new ignition switch will have to be reprogrammed to your key or it will not work. You will have to take to a locksmith or dealer for that.

Won't start until new one is reprogrammed, if you install it first you would have to get it towed to shop

Okay theres no way to reprogram it myself or have it reprogramed before installing it?

Actually I may have found the procedure for you.. replace the switch as described earlier then perform the following steps to reprogram the system..

Did that work or did you have to reprogram it? Mine needs to b done but I def dont want to have to pay that much, but really dont wanna have to get it towed. Thanx :)
