I just had my intake manifold gaskets replaced one week ago. Today im driving and my engine starts knocking and then the oil light and battery light comes on and then my engine turns off. What could the problem be?

Is your check engine light coming on when your motor dies? If so, then have your computer scanned first.

And when your oil light comes on, that's a warning of low oil pressure and your computer detects this and shuts down your motor.

With the knocking sound, I'd guess the shop who replaced your intake gasket either blocked off an oil passage or didn't fill your motor back up to the proper oil level. But there are several other possible causes.

Take your car back to the shop and demand they fix there work right, if it isn't too late to save your motor.

And if your motor is shot because of something directly related to their work, then demand they replace your engine.

If I've helped you, please take the time to vote for me as I depend on this to pay my bills. Thanks, Ernest.
