Engine Performance problem
1997 Chevy Malibu 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

My car stalls occasionally at stop lights, and sometimes when I go around a slow curve. I took it in to my mechanic and the diagnostics test showed no problems and they drove it and apparently it drove fine in their hands. What could the problem be?

Sometimes it sputters and doesn't die, sometimes it sputters then dies, sometimes it just dies.

Nope, voltage is fine. Everything seems to be running fine, it just sputters and dies.

With out seeing it and guessing on here, I would suggest have a vehicle data recorder in stall and driving it around and let it record when it dies to see the parameters in the PCM. This way you will see whats going on and whats causing the stall. But it sounds like a possible MAF sensor to me
