i have a 92 ford ranger with 172,000 miles on a 2.3l engine. last week i changed the oil and the following day after about a half our drive i lost all oil pressure. the valves started to chatter, iput another oil filter on it and it was fine for about another 20 min. drive then the oil pressure was erratic and finally drooped all the way off. is this definately an oil pump or should i look elsewhere first?
