Engine Cooling problem
2004 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The check engine light has been on for past week since weather get cold. Had the car scanned in autozone, it said the coolant temperature is low. What might be the reason cause this happen?

Thanks

Tell me exactly what the code was on your computer.

I've never heard of a code that says "low coolant temp." Are you sure it didn't say "Coolant temperature sensor", or "Coolant level low"??? That would mean one of your sensors are bad.

Also, the clerk at AutoZone may have misinterpreted the information. Ask him/her to give you the code number.
(P-0###, or C-0###) I'll look it up for you and give you the possible causes.
