I have a 2004 Chevy Impala with 83,000 miles. About 2 months ago, the car failed to start. The radio, lights, and automotic locks worked fine. It made no noise and would not start. After trying to start it 9 to 10 times, it started. I took it in, and a new battery was put in. I knew this could not be the problem. It did not happen again for almost a month or more. When it did, I thought it could be the starter. That was changed. A week later, it did it again. What could be causing this?

Is the security light blinking when this happends. If not, check for voltage at the start solenoid when you are turning the key

2004 Chevy Impala won't start at times. Yes, the security light does come on. What part can I replace to fix the problem? I changed the battery and the starter.

I would have the vehicle scanned. It sounds like a security issure. 90% of the time its a passlock sensor. " Ingnition key cylinder".
