Windshield washer not working

my husband borrowed someone's washer motor and that did not work either, so it is not the motor. Just all of a sudden, the windshield washer stopped working and it is not making a sound either. What steps should we take to figure out the problem?

You need to start by checking all of the fuses and relays. Next using a test light and checking for power at the washer motor harness plug, then power to and from the switch. And look for damaged wiring. You can pick up a test light at any auto part store fairly inexpensive.
