my car is overheating while driving but as soon as I put the heater on full the meter return to normal

Replace the thermostat.

The same thing happened to my 84 vette. And I did what the person said to. Get a new sensor. That worked for me. Cuz its a little scary when it says 299 degrees and you loose all power!
