1981 Chevy Corvette 1981 Corvette battery light

While I was driving my battery light came on the dash. When I stopped and shut the car off, the light stayed on, with the keys out as well. The next morning my battery was completly dead. I don't know how the light could have stayed on with no key in the ignition, I thought the light coming on indicated something wrong with the alternator.

Yep, probably the regulator in the alternator is bad.

Put a new alternator on last night, charge battery all night, started up goood this morning with no battery or choke light on and putting out good charge. Thanks for the help!
