Poping noise when making a sharp turn?

Just wondering if it sounds like I might need a Cv joint? on my 2002 cavalier because not everytime but most of the time I hear a Popping noise when make a right hand sharp turn is there any way I can check 2 see for sure if this is faulty?and is it a bitch too repair any comments are helpfull thx..

just to let you know there is a service bulletin out for these cars. it is for the "intermedite steering shaft", it says to lube it or replace it if it is making a popping sound.
