The blower was only working on high all summer but my GF wouldn't let me change the resistor. Now the blower has stopped working altogether and now I'm unsure if it will still be just the resistor. Can the resistor fully fail and cause all fan speeds to stop working, or am I now looking at another problem ie. Blower Fan? Just wondering if anyone knows if the resistor can fail enough to stop even high fan from working.

Power the blower motor direct if it comes on-

Check and test the HVAC control assy blower switch and the blower motor relay.

At high fan position the resistor is bypassed this is when full battery voltage is applied to the blower motor-lower fan position goes thru the resistor
