Since last week, my car has been having a slow acceleration. Also, coming out of idle, it will jerk like accelerating from a red light. I was told I was in desperate need of a good tune up which I got, last Friday, but it didn't help. Any idea on what else it could be?

Does it run rough at a idle? Possible bad head gasket? You may have a plugged cat converter causing bad acceleration? Do you have a check engine light on?

No it does not run rough when idle. Last week, my ETS OFF and check engine light came on. I took it to auto zone for a check and they said my engine light was on because of my oxygen sensors. Since last Wednesday, those lights have come on maybe 3 days.

They didn't give me any codes, just said it was the oxygen sensors that was causing my check engine light to go on. I did not get wires with my tune up. My 96 Cav is a 2.4l engine and I was told I don't have wires.
