1996 Cavalier

If my 96 cavalier has been sitting for a half hour or more it starts and runs ok, but if its been sitting for less time it starts and dies right away unless you give it gas. Then it runs rough for a little bit. I have a 2.2 with 160,000 miles on it

Check for any fuel lines that have insulation on them. If the insulation is broken replace it. Have the fuel system pressure tested, and possibly replace the fuel filter if it hasn't been replaced recently. Also have the fuel pressure regulator checked.
