1995 Chevy Cavalier HEATER

The car is heating for about 1 minute . After 1 minute is coming cold air. The light from the A/C is turning on. Can somebody tell my what is wrong ?

If AC light will not turn off then the switch may be bad, still if heat is set to highest setting, heat should come out (usually takes more than a minute).

Check heater core hoses, when engine is hot, upper and lower heater core hoses should be hot, if lower hose is cold then the heater is blocked.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
