replaced battery in jun07 and again in july07

Alternator was replaced in 2005.

Since new battery was put in the clock on the radio is lit constantly. We don't remember it being on all the time.

I can jump the battery and it runs fine. Then about two days later battery is dead again.

There is a square plastic box that was attached to the body near the battery. It is now just laying there no longer attached to the body due to rust and the tech broke it off. Wires the run off this box go toward engine and battery.

Could this have something to do with my problem?

You can post a pic to see if we can identify the black box. The radio light should not always be on and sound like that may be a link to the problem. Pull the fuse for the radio and run it a few days without the fuse in and see if the problem stops. It sopunds like it is a parasitic draw the takes more juice from the battery that it can afford to give.

Also take it back to the shop and ask them to fix what they broke.
