1991 Chevy Caprice V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

hello, I have 1991 chevy caprice classic with roughly 150k on it.
one day I was coming from work, driving in highway doing 65 then after I took the exit stopped for traffic light, my car started shaking with rough engine idling & loud exahust sound.
I took it to a local mechanic who told me to change spark plugs, ignition wires, fuel filter and even TBI unit, I did all of that.
The problem still there with poor fuel economy + engine seems less powerfull than before+ difficulty starring the car.
can you help me, is it oxygen sensor, bad catalytic converter or PCV valve.
P.S : the emechanic did not have code scanner.

Have the exhaust system check for restriction-could be the catalytic converter-also check the idle air control valve/EGR and PCV valves-throttle position sensor/MAF/MAP sensors-
