hey guys!
i have a 96 chevy Camaro v8 5.7 6 speed with about 155,500 miles on it. for awhile now i have noticed that when i rev my engine up(usually while in nuetral but sometimes while driving) i get a popping/choking sound while the engine is returning to idle speed. im not really sure what it is. the car has a problem keeping oil pressue but i have never noticed a leak.(probably bad clearances, so i use 10w-40 oil in it) because of the low oil pressue my lifters or something else in the valve train has been ticking for awhile. not sure if that could have anything to do with the exhaust noises.

could timing also be a contributer to what i am experiancing.

i would really appricaite any help, theroys, or advice that anyone could give me.

tell you the truth ths is a peoblem that would be hard todiagnose without really lloking at it , but if you do have a real oil pressure issue this may be the cause , i would do a manula pressure test which is easy to find what the oil pressure really is and go from there were here to help any further is you need it

thanks jim
