I have a 1999 camaro and when it is in park or ideling while turned on it makes a ratling noise and I thought it was my exhaust so I got new flowmasters put on it and the noise still persisted and my dad tells me the rattling noise is coming from the catalyic converter. If so how can I fix it?

Technically you cannot fix a catalytic converter.

Sounds to me that you may have a loose heat sheild or a exhaust hanger mount somewhere, check those first.

I have a camaro that was doin the same rattling noise. My catalic converter had broken pieces inside and some of it was getting inside the exit side of the pipe and I was losing power so I just got a new one installed and it runs fine now. But yes first make sure u check hangers or heat shield. But mostlikely is gonna be the cat. Make sure theyt check that it doesnt have any loose pieces in the exit side of pipe.
