1998 Chevy Camaro 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 105000 miles

HI MY NAME IS AMANDA AND I HAVE THE 98 V6 AUTOMATIC CAMARO. WE ARE HAVING A SLIGHT PROBLEM WITH IT, WHEN GOING UP HILLS, IT ACTS LIKE IT HAS A HARD TIME MAKING IT UP THE HILL, IT WILL SPIT AND SPUTTER, (GUESS THATS HOW I CAN DESCRIBE IT) BUT IF YOU KEEP A STEADY SPEED IT DOESNT REALLY DO IT, ONLY IF YOU GIVE IT GAS. AND IT WILL ALSO DO IT IF YOU ARE STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AND GIVE IT TOO MUCH GAS I GUESS, IF YOU TAKE OFF REALLY SLOW IT WONT DO IT. I REALLY NEED SOME HELP, I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY TO HOOK IT UP TO A TESTER SO YOUR HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRIEATED. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR TIME.

If u have a check engine light on go get a loaner scaner at a autozone autoparts shop. They have loaners. If no check engine light then start by looking into plug wires and coils. Most surely at idle it runs fine right? Its hard to pinpoint problems from here with out looking at car. My camaro had a problem like that and scanner said cylinder 3 missfire then I put wires new wasnt that then I tried number 3 coil and it fixed it. But u may just have a bad wire and not coil so try wires first. Never know if its even bad fuel filter but I doubt it. Kinda sounds like a wire but never know. Good luck.
