Recently my Blazer was running rough and I found the distributor cap was cracked. I bought a new cap and rotor but I can't seem to be able to get the old rotor off. The Chiltons manuel I have says the rotor lifts off but I have pulled and pulled on it and it does not want to come off the shaft Is there a trick to it I am missing. Thank you in advance for your help

Some of em have 2 screws one on either end. If no screws get a pair of pliers and wiggle!

Sometimes they can be a little stubborn. Just take your time and be patient. You might be able to pry under the base of the rotor with a flathead screwdriver. Just make sure that the screw driver isn't prying against anything plastic. Good luck on your repairs.
