2001 Chevy Blazer fuel pump

Just had a fuel pump put in and now the gas guage does not work and the check engine light has just came on any ideas what could be wrong

The check engine lamp might be on for a tank leakage management issue. If a vapor hose is not connected or the tank isn't sealed the Evaporative Control System will command the check engine lamp on. As far as the fuel level indicator being inop, it may well require rechecking the previous repairs.

I have a 98 blazer and the fuel pump and sending unit (the device that measures the amount of gas in your tank) are a single unit. I am not sure if it is the same with an 01 but that might be something to look at, especially if you bought the unit used.
