Hello,

There are several reasons why the engine would lose power.

It could be from a plugged air filter, bad spark plugs, clogged fuel filter, weak fuel pump, bad air flow sensor etc.
A dirty throttle body can also cause the engine to have low power. Which can be cleaned:

Sometimes with issues such as this the check engine light gets illuminated. Is the check engine light on?
If so, having it scanned for trouble codes can help with the diagnostics.
