1996 Chevy Blazer not getting fuel

For about a year engine takes a while to crank from cold start and now will not start even after pressing accelerator

You need to check to make sure the fuel pump is operating. You can usually hear it run when you turn the key to the run position, it will run for 3 to 5 seconds then shut off if it doesnt start. There should be a bleeder valve on the fuel rail, you can hook up a fuel pressure gauge there to check for pressure. Check to see if the filter is clogged, replace as neccesary. And like the other guy said, check for spark. Good luck

Hello,

This could be due to a faulty fuel pressure regulator. As this got progressively worse, which could mean that the internals of the regulator slowly deteriorated and now it might not be working properly.
First check to see if you can hear the fuel pump come on when you turn the key to on position.
Check the fuel pressure using a fuel pressure test gauge. You can rent those gauges from your local auto parts store.
You should have 60-66 PSI of fuel pressure with the key on and engine off.
