We just put new spark plugs and wires on and now I cant seem to keep the car running. Its hard to crank up and when I finally do get it running I have to keep my foot on the gas and it has a skip real bad. If back fired a little too.I replaced a disrtibator cap that was broke. My friend checked the codes and it showed the E.R.G
sensor. Can u please help me?

Are you certain you have wires in the correct locations? Also ensure nothing was accidentally disconnected during repairs, especially the EGR valve since that is the fault code you are getting.

Clean out the IACV and EGR valve and see what happens-Check the Cap and rotor alignment, tight connection on the plug and cap ends
