I was getting no fuel to the engine at all, I replaced the fuel pump and now I get fuel but as soon as the truck idles, the fuel flow stops and the truck dies.

If you are losing actual fuel pressure, then your oil pressure switch is probably bad. It shuts off fuel pump voltage when there is no oil pressure and yours is probably reading too low.

Thanks for the help, We tried the switch, but that didn't solve the problem. It did start and idle on it's own for a short time, but when we tried to start it again, the same problem occured. The fuel filter, oil pressure switch and fuel pump are all brand new. Any other suggestions?

Have you checked the fuel pump relay. That is the only other thing in the circuit. Actually unplug it and look inside at the connector sometimes they are green with corrosion. Get back to us. This should be pretty easy for us to get to the bottom of. Ive worked on so many of these I know just about what every color wire is and what it goes to by heart.

I changed the fuel pump relay, now it starts, idles and dies or when giving it steady gas it cuts out. The oil pressure gauge came up a bit, although it is still not where it should be. Possibile loose connections under steering column that could cause this? It's driving me crazy that I can't figure this thing out.

Have you replaced the fuel filter? You might be getting pressure but wiith a clogged filter it will cut down the amount of fuel actually reaching the engine.
