2001 Chevy Avalanche Losing Power

2001 Chevy Avalanche V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic
It's an 01' 2500
It's losing power upon acceleration. And it sounds like it backfires around the cat conv.
I have used fuel injector treatment but that's all I have done. SOmeone told me that it may either be the fuel pump or a o2 sensor.

check yoru fuel pressure but change the fuel filter first. If this persists check your vacuum at idle. If it's around 15" then have your converter checked for partial plugging. Also have your engine scanned to see if there are any stored codes or not. Most auto parts stores do this free of charge...
