2001 Chevy Astro 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

The F9 fuse is blowing. This a 20 amp fuse thst is ahead of the dash light switch. This fuse controls interior and exterior lights, dash lighting, etc. Are there any common areas to check?

Does the fuse blow before or after you turn on headlamp switch? Splice 217, instrument panel wiring harness, close to instrument cluster breakout. All brown wires, separate the circuits, maybe you can find which circuit has the short.

Does fuse blow when installed or only when headlights are turned on? A short in system has occured most likely a shorted bulb. Is there a tow wiring for trailer? If yes that is very likely

The fuse blows very shortly after the car is started. The tralier wiring is not used and is coiled up in the jack compartment
