Code light came on had O'Reilly's read it and they told me it was lean code. They suggested I use some really good fuel additive called Seabreeze. I put can in and filled tank to 1/2 full. 50 miles later the light went off. Today after using up 1/2 of that fuel, down to 1/4 tank now, the light came back on with same code. Now they suggest I change the fuel filter. Is there something else I should be doing instead?

Yes don't listen to idiots at auto parts they only sell parts nothing else. Listen to someone who fix these all the time. Check your fuel pressure and if low replace the pump. Auto parts rent the gauge. 48-54 psi vin Z if not vin Z 55-62. If fuel pressure ok then have a pro diagnose these as misfires are very hard to find and he will have to scan it an freeze frame it. This is your cheapest option believe me. Otherwise you will end up spending a ton of cash for parts that didn't need to be replaced.
