Engine Performance problem
2003 GMC Sierra V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 110K miles

My check eng. light is on and I went to Autozone and they put a code reader on the truck and it read a problem with the evaporator system. The read-out said it could be the canister, the gas cap, a hose, or a vaccum leak. Everything looked good but before I start tearing out the intake manifold to reseal it I was wondering if you had a better idea.

You may still have to remove the manifold but it also could be your knock sensors. I have a similar problem about a year ago.

It could be that your oxygen sensor could be dirty. Does it come on for while then turns off.
