I bought a 2000 Kia Sportage EX a few days ago and the guy said it was running aweomse... and showed me a bill for repairs consisting of newer fan clutch, spark plugs, timing belt, water pump, altenator belt,t new fluids, tensioner, tensioner pulley and idler pulley, now the code is reading misfire in cylinder four.... and its over heating like the fan isnt kicking on ... its not overheated but running very hot when idled... and its lacking power when I try to gain speed.

could this be a coil pack causing all of this.. or maybe a bad coil pack and the fan clutch not working again..

Maybe or could be does not solve the problem. You need to check and find out what is wrong. Check the spark plugs, cables and ignition coil.

Check the coolant level in radiator, do it when cold. Insufficient coolant ( air in system) would result in overheating.
