I have been in the process of changing my rear shocks and I have reached a point where according to the manual I should be using a 204-179-1spring retaining strap. I could not find these except for a website in England. One person in a forum said he used plastic ties. Sounded good to me, but I can only connect one side of the spring. I should be able to connect 2sides. One side has a round hole the other has a square hole. It is not very clear how the strap is supposed to connect. Has anyone actually used these things? Or has a workaround. Someone must have done this and can point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Steve

Good afternoon,

You need those exact tools. Most likely the dealer has these tools you need.

I attached the procedure for you below. I borrowed the tools from a friend at a dealer for the job.
