Changing rear brake pads and rotor

Hi there. I am trying to change the rear brake pads and rotors on my 323 zxi. I just looked at you description pages for doing this but as far as I can tell my brake caliper is in one piece, not two. Consequently I've managed to fit new rear pad and rotor but even with the piston retracted as far as I can make it go I cannot fit the front pad.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

The caliper should be 2 pieces. Have you checked to see if the slide is working so you can move it to replace the pad? Is the caliper piston flush with the caliper (fully depressed)?
