Car does want to start after it sets for a day or so. Once it does start it runs good and will restart if you shut it off and try to restart it within 6 to 8 hours. It seems that the gas loses its prime and takes forever to get the gas back to the engine so it will start. Is there a way to keep the gas primed when car is shut off for a period of time?

Hello,

Usually when you turn the ignition key to "run" the fuel pump will come on for a couple of seconds to prime the fuel system. So with this in mind I would recommend that you change the fuel filter on your vehicle. Here is a generic guide on how to change a fuel filter:

In the diagrams down below I have included a guide from the vehicle manufacturer on how to change the fuel filter specifically for your vehicle. Please go through these guides and report back with how everything turns out.

Thanks,
Alex
