My car was broken into, they stole my stereo, they cut all the wires in my car and cut extra wires, I guess. So, now my car does not start and my electric and my fuse box is only getting power and half of it. The car doesn't start, doesn't crank, radio doesn't work, heater doesn't work, windows won't roll up or down. I rewired all the stereo back in still not working. So, there's power not getting to half of my fuse box. What do I do? (Fuse box under the hood)

Hi,

In the under-hood fuse box, which fuses are not getting power? I ask because I'm looking at the power distribution wiring schematic and I'm not sure where the problem is coming from.

As far as the original damage. Were you able to repair all the wires that were cut?

Let me know,

Take care,

Joe

Under hood Not getting power the ST Relay I bought a new one didn't start so I took it out took a wire from battery to relay and by passed it and the car started. But when I did the light test, it showed no light no power. 23 A/F 20amp multiport fuel injection system. No power 22 S-Horn/ (but I honked my horn and it works) 26 10amp horn. No power. Inside fuse box that are not getting power 8 TI&TE 30 amp No circuit 14 TAIL 15AMP. 15 panel 7.5amp. Navigation system, seat heater, emergency flashers, air conditioning system, audio system, clock, glove box light, instrument panel lights, steering switches. I don't have seat heaters I know that the emergency flashers are working, the air conditioning and the heater are not working, the audio system is not working, the clock is not working. Those are the things I do know for sure. And 31 MIR HTR 10 amp outside rear view mirror defoggers. No power And I was able to rewire all of the wires that were cut as far as I can see there's none that aren't rewired, we bought a whole new wiring harness and rewired all of them.

Hi,

Someone made a mess for you. I attached the power distribution schematics below. In most cases, you will find that a fuse that has no power is caused by an upstream fuse that powers several small amperage fuses.

Take a look through the attached schematics and let me know if they help, if you have other questions, or if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. Note: The schematics were three pages long. I had to cut each page in half to make them readable. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

If you are uncomfortable reading the schematics, let me know your questions or what I can do to help.

So, I jumped started my car by jumping it from battery to starter relay and that's fine and it runs but the VCS light is on, and the gearshift lights aren't working where it lights up in drive or whatever gear I'm in. So, you think it's a fuse or wire?

Hi,

If you don't have a gear indicator light, that sounds like it may be related to the transmission range sensor. That is what functions as the neutral safety switch and the gear indicator.

I attached a pic of its location below. Check to make sure nothing is damaged in that area.

Let me know.

Joe
