Car only moves in reverse

Car only moves in reverse came to a stop sign it jerked, turned off car restarted car moved with no power. Left car for about 4 hours put a little coolant I seen it was low started car it drove back home. Next day I put in reverse and backed out of driveway fine but put in drive and would not move. No check engine lights are on. Motor and the car sound good no noises from anywhere. When this happened I did feel my ignition like clicking but it does not do it now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
