I’m having a multi part problem my cars diagnostic code is bringing up code P0365 which is the camshaft position sensor. I bought the part (not knowing that I actually needed two) there was a bit of miscommunication between me and my mechanic. So I think he might’ve put the camshaft position sensor in the crankshaft position sensor placing. These two parts look similar but are they completely different parts? I also do not know the placing of both of all of the sensors please help!

Good morning,

Yes, there are 2 cam sensors. One on the front of the motor and one on the rear. I attached the procedure for you for the replacement.

I would also verify you have 5 volts at 2 pins on the connectors with the key on to be sure there is not a wiring issue.

The crank sensor is different from the cam sensors and in a different location.

Thank you so much for that quick and extremely helpful response! I’m still a little confused if he put the wrong part in the wrong spot the diagrams helped a bit if I show you more or less with a picture where The camshaft position sensor was placed could you tell me if that was correct? I included a picture it’s very low quality since it’s not my own I can upload mine once the sun rises.

That is the rear sensor. It is the camshaft sensor. Make sure you verify voltages to the connector.
