I have a 94 cadillac sts it has about 128,000 miles. I have been having problems with it for about a month. My car will start good then maybe after 9 cranks it will not turn over.I had my battery check and I need a new battery but It is doing the same thing they check my alternator and they said that was good. I can keep trying and some times it will started and sometimes it won't.I smell this funny smell will tring to get it to crank. If I leave it for a while it will normally crank. I don't hear the clicking sound until I just hold the key in the start position.but when it is starting it firers right up.Is it my starter?? what could it be.I need some idea because I am a women and alot of times I spend alot of money because I don't have an idea.Tanks

sounds like you have a corroded or loose batteyr connection, check all connections on the battery and clean and tighten them also check on the starter. ALl you need is probably a new battery also

go to the auto store and buy chevron with techron its a fuel system cleaner put it in then get some good gas like ten dollars worth no more do it when you tank is close to empty after that take it to the hwy and gun it hold the gas all the way down for five or six sec and do a couple of times it will clean out your valves and fuel injectors when you get more gas i would put a another one in and do it every month for a little bit it cant hurt
