1999 Cadillac SLS overheating
Engine Cooling problem

Are both the upper and lower radiator hoses hot to the touch at or near overheat? It could be a stuck closed thermostat. Quite possibly it could have blown head gaskets, this may explain the excessive pressure to crack a side tank. Determine if you have coolant flowing, both hoses hot to touch as mentioned earlier, then have it tested for combustion gases in the cooling system.
