Engine Cooling problem
1999 Cadillac SLS V8 Automatic 135000 miles

my car keeps overheating I have replace the overflow tank, overflow tank cap, radiator, and the thermostate twice. When I am driving for about 15min the gage in the car starts to move up then when I press on the gas to speed it up sometimes the gages moves back to the middle. I work about 22 miles from home and when I get up the next morning sometimes there is water in the overflow tank and sometimes I need to add, there is no white smoke or the is no foam in my oil, what should I do now. I live in Arizona and it gets very hot in the summer.

Verify that the cooling fans are working, they should be on when it is hot, or when the A/C compressor is on. If they are working, have the cooling system tested for the presence of combustion gases indicating an internal leak.

Thank you for the info, the cooling fans are working I check that all the time when I starts to overheat, so where would I take my car to have them check the cooling system tested for the presence of combustion gases indicating an internal leak. Would you know about how much they charge to check for a leak and what the repair ticket is if that is what is wrong with it.

If you have a repair shop that you use, see if they have a gas analyzer. That would work. I imagine the diagnosis may run an hour at shop rate. If you have to repair the head gaskets, I would speculate you will be in the 3000 to 3500 dollar range.
