Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Cadillac SLS V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 68000 miles
I have been told that this year engine trans combo is unique and older northstar engines do not mount the same/not compatible--if so why and can a cradle and engine/trans be transplanted?

If any earlier, it would be 1998. That is when the 5th generation Seville hit the streets. There might be certain specifics that I am not aware of that could prohibit it. 98 and 99 should be fairly close in design.
